A group of nearly 40 members of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), headed by Avi Paz, President of the IDE and of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, won a prize of over $30,000 on the local lottery yesterday, reports the Israeli ‘Calcalist’.
According to the paper, there is a long tradition among bourse members of sharing any winnings counting an extra member, and donating the share of that extra member to a charitable organization.
The Calcalist adds that the bourse management yesterday made a 40,000 Shekel donation to a charity that feeds hungry local children.
