Jacob Banda, President of the New York Diamond Dealers Club, has passed away after a short illness at the age of 62.
Born in Israel, Mr. Banda, resided in the United States since 1964.
A Satmar Chosid, he began in the diamond industry as a diamond cutter, following in his father’s footsteps. He dealt in polished goods with a specialty in fancy colored goods and was an acknowledged expert in both large stones and colored stones of all sizes.
