Israeli Diamonds Are ‘Out of This World’


Two diamonds grown in laboratories in the Faculty of Chemistry at the Technion university in Israel have been sent into space on Space Shuttle Atlantis, and will be hosted at International Space station for a year.
Upon their return, the diamonds will be examined to assess the effects of the space environment upon them, with a view to using them in future satellite applications.
