11% of people questioned by Synovate, would choose fine jewelry as the one luxury brand item that would give them the most pleasure to purchase. Some 28% of those questioned in the UAE and 24% in India, chose fine jewelry before other items.
‘A car’ led the responses with 31%, followed by designer clothing or a ‘great gadget’ with 11%.
Hong Kong’s Cheng added: “A great gadget is probably something people can show off to friends during gatherings; it creates conversation and makes a statement in Hong Kong.”
22% of our Dutch respondents said ‘Nothing, I would not purchase any of these items’, despite this being a ‘money no object’ question.
