Diamond News – Kimberley Process: According to a report in the Israeli press, a diamond worth over $70,000 that was imported into Israel without a Kimberley Process Certificate and confiscated by the Diamond Controller, will not be returned to the diamond company that attempted to import it.
Instead, reports the Calcalist, the money value of the diamond, which weighs over 14.3 carats, may be donated to the Kimberley Process.
The huge diamond was apparently imported from Mali in February 2007.
