Diamond Decorative Piece Showcased in the Winter Olympics Aboriginal Pavilion

A throat decoration, which features diamonds from Snap Lake on loan from De Beers and designed by Canadian aboriginal designer Angela DeMontigny, is being showcased in the Aboriginal Fashion Showcase in the 2010 Aboriginal Pavilion of the winter Olympics.

The gorget, named Universal Unity, is to tour throughout Canada at upcoming fashion events such as Montreal Fashion Week, and will be auctioned off with proceeds going towards the Aboriginal Youth Legacy Fund for Design, set up by DeMontigny.
