Mercado Global, a non-profit company, will esteem Pamela Love during its yearly event held in NYC. The company is also an accessories brand that gives opportunities to women from Latin America to start a career as businesswomen.
This year, the award will be given to jewelry modeller, Pamela Love. Before, the event attracted businessmen, main retailers, and philanthropists to celebrate the work of Mercado to give opportunities to women and forward ethical principles in the fashion field.
Love started designing jewelry back in 2007 in her Brooklyn flat and later expanded the company into a well-known jewelry brand. Many styles in Love’s line are manufactured in NY or LA.
Love said that she hoped that jewelry companies would get materials more liable resorting to recycling where it is possible and ensure that the gemstones come from amenable sources. Love added that it is important to collaborate with those who are accountable and ethical to the environment and the miners.
Several years ago, Love was partners with Mercado to create collections. She said she is honored to receive an award from them.
