We come into the penultimate game of the Premier League season for both these clubs on Wednesday, and neither Leicester nor Arsenal have much more than pride to play for in these two games. There will be some added incentives for both clubs though, with Leicester wanting to nail down a top half finish and Arsenal keen to give departing manager Arsene Wenger a winning end to his two decade reign.

Leicester aren’t exactly showing their brightest side at the moment though. They were defeated yet again on Saturday as West Ham won 2-0 at the King Power Stadium, extending Leicester’s winless streak to five matches in the Premier League and leaving them on the brink of dropping out of the top half.

The Foxes remain in 9th position, but Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Watford are all just three points behind them. Brighton are only four points adrift too, so they could potentially find themselves down in 14th position if everything goes against them.

Arsenal don’t have any positions left to play for. They demolished 7th placed Burnley at the weekend, and that 5-0 win puts them six points ahead of The Clarets, who only have one game remaining. Meanwhile, Chelsea are nine points clear of them in 5th place, so a 6th place finish for Wenger is guaranteed now.

That’s not to say they should be slacking off in these final couple of games. The Gunners have already failed to bring silverware back to The Emirates in Wenger’s final season, and given his lengthy time at the helm of the club, you would expect the players to be keen to give him the winning send off he deserves.

Admittedly it has been Arsenal’s away form that has let them down this season. They haven’t won a trip away in the Premier League since the end of December, but that thrashing of Burnley at the weekend will have boosted their confidence, after their disappointing Europa League exit. Meanwhile, Leicester have failed to win their last six home games in the league and have lost to both Newcastle and West Ham since the start of April.

All things considered, we think there is value in an Arsenal Win on Wednesday, and we’re backing that along with a 2-1 correct score predictions.
