On May 19, the most anticipated wedding of the year was held: 33-year-old Prince Harry married 36-year-old Meghan Markle.
Leaving the doors of Windsor Castle and sitting in Jaguar of 1968, Meghan demonstrated the jewelry in which reporters recognized the Lady D ring.
After the death of Diana in a car crash in August 1997, the princess’s sons, William and Harry, shared memorabilia among themselves. The choice of William turned to the watch Cartier Tank Francaise, Harry took the wedding ring made by the jewelry house Garrard and was not exclusive. Evil tongues even called this ring “Vulgar Sapphire”, hinting at the ignoble origin of Diana. It is known that Lady D, whose memory was honored at the wedding, appeared in public several times with this ring, including she wore it at a charity event a few weeks before the tragic death in August 1997. Apparently, so the Prince once again wanted to respect his mother, giving his beloved woman her ring.
The closest relatives and friends of the newlyweds were invited to the evening reception- only 250 people.
